Kitchen wrapping: how much does it cost and how do you go about it?
October 18, 2026

Wrapping your kitchen is an affordable way to give it a completely new look without replacing the cabinets. You cover the fronts with interior film in, for example, a wood look, marble, or a solid color. Below you can read how much it costs, how much film you need and how to do it step by step.

Short answer

Wrapping your kitchen yourself mainly costs the film: €44 to €49 per 122 x 100 cm roll, plus €19 for a starter kit with a squeegee, knife and degreaser. If you have it done by a professional, you pay from €799 including materials, installation and VAT. A kitchen with 12 doors, 5 drawers and 2 side panels then costs around €1,515.

How much does it cost to have your kitchen wrapped?

The costs mainly depend on two things: how much film you need and whether you do it yourself or have it done.

Wrapping yourself

€44–€49 per roll

You only pay for the film and some tools. With the wrapping starter kit (€19) you have the squeegee, knife and degreaser all at once. Ideal if you are handy and take the time.

From €799

Including materials, installation and VAT. A trusted partner near you ensures a neat result, without demolition work. You will receive the exact price after photos or measurements.

How much film do I need?

Measure the width and height of all the fronts you want to cover and add the surfaces together. Then add 10 to 15 percent extra for edges, wrapping corners and cutting loss.

Calculation example

Your fronts are 3 m² in total. With 15% extra, that is 3.45 m². One roll of 122 x 100 cm is 1.22 m², so 3.45 ÷ 1.22 = 2.8. You need 3 rolls. Always round up and order everything at once, so the color and texture are consistent everywhere.

Step-by-step: how to wrap your kitchen

With a squeegee, a sharp knife and degreaser you have everything you need besides the film.

Step 1: Dismantle doors and drawers

Remove doors, drawers and handles. That makes it much easier than wrapping while everything is still hanging.

Step 2: Degrease and clean

Film only adheres well to a clean, dust- and grease-free surface.

Step 3: Cut the film to size

Leave a few centimetres extra on each side to wrap the edges.

Step 4: Stick from the center

Work from the center outwards and remove air bubbles with a squeegee.

Step 5: Finish the edges

Wrap the film around the corners and cut it off neatly with a sharp knife.

Step 6: Reassemble everything

Hang the doors and drawers back, optionally with new handles.

Our tip: use a felt squeegee. The soft felt edge presses the film down without scratching. In our installation video for wrap film you can see how it works in practice.

Finish it off with new handles

A wrapped kitchen with the old handles often still looks 'old'. New handles complete the look. With a wood look, black handles match well, while for a solid light color, gold or stainless steel handles are a nice choice.

Choose handles for your new look

Choose the same center-to-center measurement as your old handles, then you do not need to drill.
